The issue raised is that TikTok Shop was dismissed by the government, where TikTok Shop is one of the important innovations and technological advances for Indonesia. The main theory used in this research is consumption theory. This research is a quantitative research with primary data using a Guttman scale, and tested with non-parametric statistical methods of Chi-Square and Kendall's Tau-B. The findings of this study are that income has a very strong correlation, discount has a very strong correlation, and influencers have a strong correlation to purchasing decisions. These results answer 3 problem formulations, which show that TikTok Shop is very important to consumers in Malang. This result also shows that the ban of TikTok Shop is a loss for Indonesia because it can increase economic exchange and economic growth.</p> 2024-04-03T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Development Economic and Social Studies https://jdess.ub.ac.id/index.php/jdess/article/view/330 PENGARUH PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI, INVESTASI, DAN UPAH MINIMUM TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGANGGURAN DI JAWA BARAT 2024-03-13T07:01:41+00:00 Qatrunnada Nisrina Ramadhani qatrunnadanisrina4@gmail.com Candra Fajri Ananda cfajri@ub.ac.id <p>The objective of this study is to find out how the unemployment rate in each of West Java's districts and cities would change between 2018 and 2022 in relation to economic growth, investment, and minimum wages. Over a five-year period, a panel data collection comprising 27 districts and towns was utilized to accomplish this goal. Regression analysis with panel data was applied. The findings indicate that from 2018 to 2022, minimum wage, investment, and economic growth all had a considerable impact on the unemployment rate in all West Javan districts and cities. Economic growth holds a negative and significant effect on the unemployment rate, while investment has a negative and significant impact at 10% alpha on the unemployment rate. The minimum wage significantly and positively affects the unemployment rate. Investments made are mostly capital intensive and not yet equally distributed throughout West Java. Therefore, in order to lower unemployment, local governments are expected to increase labor-intensive investment.</p> 2024-04-03T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Journal of Development Economic and Social Studies https://jdess.ub.ac.id/index.php/jdess/article/view/276 PENGARUH PMDN, PMA, PENGELUARAN PEMERINTAH DAN TENAGA KERJA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI 2023-11-05T04:17:40+00:00 Risma Fahrella Fiorentina rismafahrella@student.ub.ac.id Ajeng Kartika Galuh ajengkartika@ub.ac.id <p>Central Java is a province on the island of Java that is experiencing relatively low economic growth. In reality, East Java Province has not yet achieved equal prosperity, as evidenced by an increasing trend of inequality that has not reached its lowest point during the period of this research. Therefore, there is a need to accelerate the reduction of inequality by understanding the various factors influencing inequality in East Java. Through a simultaneous model using the three-stage least square (3SLS) method, this study attempts to estimate the impact of Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) per capita and the health index on income inequality. It also analyzes the factors influencing the growth of PDRB per capita in East Java. The data used for this research is sourced from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) for the years 2011-2021.The research findings indicate that the growth of PDRB per capita and the health index significantly and positively affect income inequality. The factors influencing the growth of PDRB per capita in East Java include the education index and capital accumulation. Cities and regencies in Papua city are high in discrepancy concerning the said index. Therefore, the roles of the government as the policy makers are crucial. The objective of this research is to identify the effects of local own-source revenue and special autonomy funds on HDI with capital expenditures as the moderating variable. This research uses secondary data from 29 regencies and cities in Papua province, from 2017 to 2021 and was analyzed through panel data regression with interaction. The hypothesis testing and the model feasibility assessment were conducted using t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination test. This study finds that local own-source revenue, special autonomy funds, and capital expenditures negatively and significantly influence HDI. Furthermore, capital expenditures as the moderating variable were found to strengthen the partial effects of local own-source revenue and special autonomy funds to HDI.
